This Joe Adams designed ketch was built in 1990 and constructed of 6mm steel plate with polyurethane insulation and is 55 foot along the deckline with a 16 foot beam, a draught of 6 foot 7 inches and displaces 38 ton. Electrical includes 240 volt, 24 volt and 12 volt with a Kubota 8 KVA genset, 24volt 150 amp engine alternator, 2 x Solarex 55w solar panels, 24 volt wind generator, 3000 wat inverter, 600 amp hour batteries and a 24 volt battery charger. In the wheelhouse she has a VHF and 27 meg radios, a Garmin 128 GPS, Ratheon sounder, Saura 200 mil compass, a full set of VDO wind instruments, Robertson autopilot, a second steering position aft and a 10 hp bowthruster. The deck has a Nilsson 24 volt anchor winch with a plough and danforth anchor and 80 metres of chain, a full set of mooring ropes, a full set of covers and awning, tender davits and 2 outboard motors. She carries 3600 Litres of diesel in 3 tanks, 1700 litres of water, has a 60 litre per hour de-salinator, a 500 litre grey water tank and a 300 litre black waste tank. Equipped with an aluminium mast with stainless steel rigging, a full set of new sails,, head sail reef furl, main slab lazy jacks, Nilssen winches and sail covers. Safety wise this vessel has an RFD 10man Life raft, hydrostatic release, a full set of flares (in date), GME epirb, Hand held extinguishers and NAFs3 engine room fire suppression system with auto alarms. The 6 cylinder Kelvin engine and gearboxgive her a range of 3250 nautical miles (engine only) and 6500 nautical miles using sail and engine. She cruises comfortably at 7.4 knots at 750 rpmand uses 6 litres per hour. Top speed is 9 knots at 950 rpm burning 10 litres per hour.
