This outstanding, as new vessel, powered by twin 240 HP Turbo Yanmar diesels, sleeps 11 (5 cabins) and accommodates passengers with three heads, and a rear deck hot and cold shower. The vessel sports a massive flybridge (ideal for whale watching or taking in the sights and scenery) protected by an extensive hardtop, and full front and side clears. The flybridge is further serviced by an icemaker, fridge, bar and sink. A set of dinghy davits with stainless steel winches, adorn the rear of the bridgedeck, fitted to launch and retrieve the ship’s tender, an Aquapro 3.5 powered by a 6 HP Yamaha outboard (licensed for 8 Pax) The skipper has hydraulic steering and controls, and an array of electronics at his disposal. The rear deck is accessed via three large steps, port and starboard, and through a stainless steel gate. The rear deck also provides a sink and shower with hot and cold water, and ample space for all the usual water orientated activities such as fishing, swimming or just relaxing with a glass of cabernet sauvignon. The side decks are wide and “walk around”, with the protection of a high, full length stainless steel rail. The saloon has been designed to allow the entry of maximum sunlight with full length sliding windows, port and starboard, giving that area a lovely relaxing and open feel. Floor coverings, upholstery, benchtops and fittings, have been carefully selected with the emphasis on durability and longevity. The dinette folds down to perform it’s alter role as a double bunk, and storage space is beautifully provided for. The evening’s entertainment is catered for (when the conversation runs out), either load up the CD player with the tranquil tones of Pavarotti (fed to upper and lower deck speakers) or watch Bugs Bunny on the LCD TV. The usual “tools of trade”, three burner stove with oven and grill, sink with flick mixer tap, fridge/freezer, microwave and all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans make the preparation of a nice lobster bisque, child’s play. No problems with getting a decent night’s rest after a hard day, pulling in snapper and and lifting heavy glasses of chardonnay. Stairs port and starboard, lead down to five cabins and three heads (two of them en-suites) Macerating toilets have been fitted, and the vessel has a holding tank. Four of the cabins beckon tired sailors with large double bunks and the other is a single, large enough in most cases for two people to sleep in. Once again, mattresses, pillows and blankets are part of the package. A third head services the two stern cabins and the small single. The two forward cabins are also well served with natural light via two translucent hatches, and portholes. The Cruisecat 40 is solid FRP construction with a vinyl ester resin tie layer. The superstructure is FRP with foam composite matrix. Spark is provided by 2 x 200 amp hour batteries, 2 x 70 amp hour batteries and a Perugo generator. 12 volt current for the shipboard appliances is bent into shape with an inverter. All lighting is 12 volt, all wiring is tinned, the vessel is airconditioned and a Muir winch, saves having to ask mum to go forward and pull the anchor up. Ship to shore power is on hand via 2 x GPO interfaced with a 12 volt 20 amp smart charge system. The vessel carries 1200 litres of fuel and 1700 litres of water. Sailor’s safety is protected with a full inventory of safety equipment. So an aspiring buyer has two options with this wonderful vessel.
