Charter Fishing
This Fisher Kayfa is part of a much larger fleet and is now superfluous to the owner's needs. At 33' in length and with a massive 11' 6" beam this is a serious boat. Like all the boats in his fleet, she has been well maintained and is rugged and reliable. The boat was subjected to a replating exercise in 2003, and when you look down through hatches the hull looks new. In 2006 one motor was completely rebuilt and in May 2007 a further $20,000 was outlayed on the engines and legs. This owner is very dedicated to the mechanical reliability and safety standards of his boats. A file has been kept on the work carried out on the Fisher and evidence of the $30,000 (in total) outlayed on this boat over the last 3 years is available to interested parties. The vessel is powered by twin Volvo TAMD 418 diesels with sterndrives and hydraulic steering. The skipper will find guidance provided by Navman GPS/plotter and Furuno sounder. VHF and 27 meg radios provide communication along with a Codan Marine Transceiver. The lockable cabin and drive station is set well forward leaving heaps of cockpit space, most of it protected by a large extended awning. Though the vessel has been utilised in other areas, it lends itself to charter fishing or diving. Check out the seating, the huge dive ladders and the safety and grab rails everywhere. This vessel is in 2C (10 + 1) and 2D (11 + 1) survey with the next out of the water check scheduled in April 2009. The Fisher is a true workhorse with few frills and represents a ready to go proposition for anyone wanting to charter dive or fish or who needs a good solid workboat.
