"Dhikarr" is a working steel trawler built in 1975 and in correct terms 13.56 metres in length. She has been maintained in good condition by the owner operator (she is his living after all) and the only reason for sale is to move up to a bigger boat. The trawler will be handed over to the new owner rigged and ready to go. A nice and ultimately reliable Mercedes Benz OM 423 powers up "Dhikarr" and the plant includes a Perkins generator. Whilst on the electrical setup on this vessel I should mention that the battery setup provides 24/12/12, that the boat is rigged for shore power (3 phase) and that the vessel actually runs 415/240/24/12 volt supplies. Back to that nice Benz which was installed in 2000 is supplied by a 6500 litre tank, has keel cooling, bops along at 8 to 9 knots and uses a mere 37 litres per hour on the trawl. ......excellent figures! 7 feet of headroom is a good start to the accomodation report which includes split air conditioning, 4 bunks, a mascerating toilet (240 volt) 2 x 1100 litre water tanks, a Dux hot water system (no cold showers on "Dhikarr") and a TV /DVD/CD player to entertain when you're taking a spell from the deckwork. The complete electronics setup includes Furuno GP 32 and JRC (smart antenna) GPS gear, Saura T150 11F compass, TMQ AP4 autopilot, GME GX 558A radios, JRC JFC 130 sounder, Furuno FR7111 radar and a TMQ Cplot Max plotter.......that should get you out and back! "Dhikarr" has a full inventory of safety gear, read as follows; a Rota Mould dinghy, V sheet, 3 SOLAS jackets, 1 x 24volt 3500 gallon per hour bilge pump and 1 x 240 volt Onga, flares 2 x orange, 2 x red and 3 x parachute, 3 fire extinguishers and an ACR 406 MHz EPIRB. The vessel also has 2 x 100 LB CQR anchors and 1 x reef pick. The vessel is in Qld survey for 3.
