Bertram 28 With Heavy Duty Trailer Possible Swan River Pen.

With a worldwide reputation as a fast & extremely safe ocean boat, this Bertram 28 was rebuilt by me in 2007 for my family, for maximum comfort reliability and safety and has design features usually only found in larger vessels built to survey. The Bertram 28 is a massive 11� wide, and has more cockpit useable space than any boat under 30 foot!

Engines
2 x 302 cubic inch V8, fresh water cooled, Mercruiser (only 200 hrs since rebuild)

These are lightweight but dependable economical engines, readily serviced, and parts can be easily and widely obtained. The Bertram 28 was designed to take these engines and they give a very economical and long range cruise: 14 Kts @ 2600 RPM and 21 Kts @ 3700 RPM, and are ideal for sports fishing cruises or cheap family boating.

Special Features
''Cathedral Roof'' canopy means the flybridge becomes a useable part of the boat when at anchor, and is fully protected from the sun wind and rain. The heavy and obstructing plywood cabinets were removed from the flybridge floor, and the flybridge seat engineered to cantilever up off the floor. This enables the entire flybridge floor to be used as a sleeping area.

The galley benchtop was lifted to 700mm to maximize galley area and minimize bending to access oven and fridge.

Stylish ovoid windows fitted to main bulkheads

LCD television fitted to main salon, for watching either in bed or at the dinette

Ply cabinetry removed from starboard interior for maximum dinette and bed width.
