Built 7.9 metres long and 3.5 metres wide and with a hybrid cat nose and punt stern this worker is infinitely transportable a major benefit right from the outset. Further the builders of this dredge have many years of experience with dredging and commercial vessels and the best of that has been injected into the design concept of this boat. Neither were half measures employed at anytime with the fitout or construction. 6mm plate everywhere, nearly $80,000 expended on hydraulics alone and in the absence of suitable available products, experts were employed to build specific hardware such as the winches. Further with due respect to EPA requirements and the enviroment, spillage of fluids such as diesel and hydraulic fluid into the water is near impossible from this dredge and that should keep you in good with the authorities. The hull itself has seven watertight compartments which can be accessed via watertight hatches and most hoses and hydraulics are protected and out of harms way below the floor. Main engine on the dredge is a Ford Leeman 90HP with 1000 litres of diesel at it's disposal. This motor is not used for propulsion just for driving the hydraulic motor and as a direct (shaft) drive for the main Warman 6/4 pump (can be operated as a 6/6). In fact the vessel is propelled via the hydraulic system which is also hooked to the steering and the bowthruster, making this an infinitely manouverable unit in tight spaces. Three custom made winches control anchoring and the cabin of the dredge is air conditioned (ideal for the hotter northern regions). A stand alone aluminium cyclone (dewatering unit which can be tilted and moved by one man) and piping is also available at extra cost. Further additions and alterations to suit long range pumping can be made at the disposal of interested buyers. This vessel is available for purchase, or lease together with the availability of a dredge operator or a new vessel can be built to buyer's specs with a turn around of 12 weeks.
