Wavebreaker Alloy Cat..Low Hours..Superb Offshore Rig
Marlin Broadbill siezed on the idea of sponson construction with wavebreaker pods some years ago. This concept counteracts the tendancy of cat hulls to dig in at the nose, particularly in following seas. Further the extra lift provides discernible savings on fuel and lower horespower (smaller motors) become a viable alternative on these vessels. At 7.5 metres LOA and 6.5 surveyed length with a 2.5 (legally trailerable beam) this is a considerable boat. Under floor flotation and a self draining deck with scuppers enhance offshore suitability and the Bermagui boys wil be rapt with a nice selection of rod holders, baitboard, live baitwell, fish box, built in tackle drawer, rocket launcher, berley cruncher and outriggers. The catwalk with door between the sterndrive legs is perfect for access and dragging those big marlin aboard, the engine hatches are low profile and the entire cockpit area is marine carpeted. The hardtop and glassed in cab (with a nice double bunk in the lockup nose section) is positioned to make for some 9.5 squ metres of cockpit space...put simply....acres of fishing space for you and a few burly mates. At 2500 Kg (boat motors and trailer) you wont have to go off and buy yourself a truck to trail this vessel either (don't forget to add on a few kilos for fuel). Powerup is twin 135HP Mercruisers (port side fitted 2007 with less than 60 hours and starboard side fitted 2008 and just 20 hours). These inboards under the command of hydraulic steer and with twin 165 litre tanks to draw from will cruise all day at 20 to 25 knots and top out around 35.......and with excellent economy! Electronics include a Garmin GPS/plotter, JRC sounder/GPS, GME 27 meg radio and a Navman 7000 VHF radio. This rig rides on a genuine Marlin Broadbill trailer with Alko tandem axles and a Sensa-Brake system and the vessel will be delivered with a complete compliment of safety gear, including an EPIRB. This vessel has been used regularly and we're not suggesting for a second that there will not be a scratch or two here and there left by gaffs and so on. However for the better part and in the context of this offer the vessel is in very good nic. There wont be many 7.5 metre alloy cats offered for this price and we suggest that you signal your interest quickly.
