Hand built by the owner over 20 years. Build quality and finish are outstanding. I have been on board the boat recently and can attest to the attention to detail and quality finish. Fully covered welds and meticulous attention to detail. The Traditional steel hulled schooner, is gaff rigged, with Oregon spars, Sheoak blocks and Queensland beach decking. First launched in 2002 with an overall length of 77 feet and a beam of 15'6" this is a lot of yacht (though there is a bowthruster to assist with manouvering). Main engine is a Gardiner LXB and which was fully rebuilt in 2002 (900 hours on the metre currently) with 2,500 litres of diesel at hand for auxillary cruising. She has a Kubota 10KVA, 3 phase genset and two banks of four heavy duty batteries with provision for shore power. Voltage is 12/24/240/440. "Pindan" has a Raymarine 400 auto pilot, a Furuno sounder, a Raymarine 24nm 4 kw radar, an Icom VHF and a Barrett 55 HF radios. Sleeps 8 in 2 doubles and 4 singles, carries 2000 litres of water and has a storage electric hot water system. Naturally the galley is equipped for long range cruising and is set up with elbow room and safety as priorities, as you will ascertain from the photographs. The ship is equipped with a Zodiac with an 8hp outboard and all the safety gear for the appropriate surveys as below. This is a "one off" opportunity for the budding charter operators looking for a vehicle, or a private buyer in the market for something a little bit different and special. Ideally, she would be suited for a Sail Training Vessel.
