This Pompei has been owned by the same family for almost 4 decades and by the current owner for the last 29 years. It has been carefully maintained for it's entire life and used regularly. The current owner is very disinclined to part with his "old mate" however more and more it's just him using the vessel and he would like to move to something a little smaller. This "Pompy" at 32' in length and with the long sweeping lines and wide beam (11'6") typical of that era, will make an ideal stay aboard come holiday apartment for a retired couple or a family. Those wishing to venture a little further seaward, will be reassured by the self draining sole. Heaps of space and the stability of her displacement hull, together with leisurely cruising at 8 to 9 knots. The cabin has a nice light airy feel, courtesy of the a large number of windows and portholes all fitted with armour plated glass and can be accessed both from the sides and rear. A long extension of the turret provides excellent protection from harmful uv rays when relaxing in the cockpit and nice wide walkways around the cabin and plenty of polished timber handrails ensure movement from the stern to the nose and back requires no special acrobatic skills. Accomodation in fact is ample with 4 permanent bunks, sink stove and oven, fridge and two large iceboxes, toilet, hot and cold shower and 6'6" of headroom everywhere. Jaycee'selectronics include an autopilot, sounder, VHF and HF radios and a CD entertainment system all sparked up by two banks of 12 volt batteries with switching. The electrical system further includes a 12/24 inverter, shorepower and the vessel is covered for 12/24/240 volt. A fresh water cooled Perkins 120HP diesel provides the thrust for Jaycee and 450 litres of fuel will ensure a nice range for the cruiser. Safety gear is comprehensive and includes Jabsco bilge pumps 1" and 1/2" both with deck hoses. Add anchor winch, swimming platform, a bonwood dinghy with an 4HP outboard, painters, ropes and fenders and you have a fully equipped "ready to go" package.
