2005....Only 89 Hours....Why Buy New?

"Megadebt" is a super alternative to buying new. Low hours and in "loved" condition she represents an excellent alternative to the outlay for a new 245. All Bayliner hulls are subject to the same intricate layup and lamination process which leads to superior long lasting and well behaved hulls. Further the attention to detail in the fitout and finish is now and has always been excellent. Set up with the mid cabin and the nose "V" berth, permanent sleeping for four is assured, however pop up the camper covers and well sheltered and ventilated space for many more is available. Featuring the step down to saloon arrangement with heaps of headroom, the port side is dominated by a timber trimmed galley with sink (hot and cold water) stove, microwave, switch and control panel, fridge and the CD system. Further forward the "V" berth doubles as a dinette with a removable and spigotted table which can also be used "elfresco" style in the cockpit. Shower and toilet in the head to starboard with hot and cold water, naturally easy to clean and dry off. Face the stern and the very considerable double midberth comes into view, absolutely anyone could get comfortable here. Up three steps and the driving station to starboard with tilt power steering also has Navman GPS/plotter and sounder units fitted. The helmsman will also find controls for electric trim tabs, an electric anchor winch, electric horn and a 27 meg radio for communication. There is an "L" shaped lounge to port, perfect for taking in a few rays, or reading a book or sipping on one or two chardonnays. A place for outdoor meals beckons in the stern proper, with a foldaway stern lounge and the removable dinette table. The dinette table stored and foldaway lounge down, the cockpit presents a very usable area for fishing (baitboard and stern mini rocket launcher on hand) or skiing, virtue of ample elbow space and of course this area provides access to the motor. This 245 is fitted with the very economical 5.0 litre MPI Mercruiser (only 89 hours). These units are very happy pushing the vessel out to cruise speeds 20 to 25 knots (and very cost efficiently) or pulling up a skier for a bit of fun. A transom access door allows easy access or disembarking even for the most awkward or elderly of us via the full width swimming platform which of course includes fold and slide away access ladder for the in water revellers. The Bayliner rides on a registered genuine Avante tandem trailer, which gives the owner to drive on and drive off. As I stated from the outset this vessel will pass any inspection and would suit a new boat buyer. The boat is such an all round performer ready for whatever activity you might choose and ready for the new owner.
