A Few Common Issues
Trailer boats over 20 or 25 years of age, depending on the insurer, will require an inspection by a boat dealer to make sure they are in safe condition. You can also need a survey if your boat is not a stock production model (custom built) or is constructed of a material other than fibreglass or aluminium, among other reasons. Older boats with inboard motors need special attention to make sure motors have been professionally installed and are in safe condition.
