Built originally by Marineline in 2000 and modified in 2006 by Legend Boat Builders to incorporate a Brand new Caterpillar 12 litre (just 270 hours) allowing a documented cruise of 19 knots and tops out at 25 knots. Carries 2,500 litres of fuel and 400 litres of water supplied by a 35 litre per hour desal and is also fitted with an Onan 4kva genset (very low hours). Has upper and lower drive stations and is fully equipped for extended long range cruising with electric hot water system, toilet with sullage tank, 2 x hot and cold showers, fridge in the saloon and a large freezer on the aft deck, BBQ, electric cooktop, microwave and she even has a flat screen TV. Built 7.9 metres long and 3.5 metres wide and with a hybrid cat nose and punt stern this worker is infinitely transportable a major benefit right from the outset. Further the builders of this dredge have many years of experience with dredging and commercial vessels and the best of that has been injected into the design concept of this boat. Neither were half measures employed at anytime with the fitout or construction. 6mm plate everywhere, nearly $80,000 expended on hydraulics alone and in the absence of suitable available products, experts were employed to build specific hardware such as the winches. Further with due respect to EPA requirements and the enviroment, spillage of fluids such as diesel and hydraulic fluid into the water is near impossible from this dredge and that should keep you in good with the authorities. The hull itself has seven watertight compartments which can be accessed via watertight hatches and most hoses and hydraulics are protected and out of harms way below the floor. Main engine on the dredge is a Ford Leeman 90HP with 1000 litres of diesel at it's disposal. This motor is not used for propulsion just for driving the hydraulic motor and as a direct (shaft) drive for the main Warman 6/4 pump (can be operated as a 6/6). In fact the vessel is propelled via the hydraulic system which is also hooked to the steering and the bowthruster, making this an infinitely manouverable unit in tight spaces. Three custom made winches control anchoring and the cabin of the dredge is air conditioned (ideal for the hotter northern regions). A stand alone aluminium cyclone (dewatering unit which can be tilted and moved by one man) and piping is also available at extra cost. Further additions and alterations to suit long range pumping can be made at the disposal of interested buyers. This vessel is available for purchase, or lease together with the availability of a dredge operator or a new vessel can be built to buyer's specs with a turn around of 12 weeks. Three sections each 24 feet by 8' 2" x 6' high. Draft .400 and all are road transportable. Each section is equipped with bollards, tyre fenders and rails. These sections are joined on end with swing arms (see the long slender plate arms tied upright on the left) which are bolted or pinned to the next section and a hinged swing down ramp which connects as a walkway between one section and the next. All sections also have telescopic arms (see the photos at left of tubular swing arms with heavy duty plate like feet on the ends) with plates on the end which can be fixed to an existing jetty or pier if required to lock the floating pier into position. In fact there is a possible 25 metres of floating pier available here. (see initial photos at left where the dock was recently in use at Melbourne Port) This unit has been taken from the water in good condition as is evidenced by the photos at left and is ready for further use. This is a very versatile piece of marine commercial equipment on offer which has been used for ferry work, loading and berthing in Port Phillip Bay.

In current survey 1D and 2D she is ready and willing to work. Licenced to carry 49 day passengers or you can overnight 17 passengers with 3 crew! Powered by twin Iveco 180kw turbo diesels on a shaft drive, with only 4500 hours worked, both engines work at an economical 25 litres per hour and are salt water cooled. Fuel capacity of 2400 litres, cruising speed of 8kn and a top speed of 10.5kn and she has her own desalinator. She boasts 3 phase shore power, 8 twin share cabins (+2 extra beds), 3 showers, 3 toilets, a large full commercial galley including a huge 3-door commercial fridge and 340 litre freezer, huge oven, commercial sized dishwasher, a 12000 litre water tank and a 400 litre electric hot water system. Entertainment is well catered for with a 200CD stacker and stereo and a 1200mm flat screen TV and DVD player. The helm is fitted out with a 2007 Raymarine GPS/sounder/plotter, a 27meg HF/VHF radio, compass, 2 gensets and radar. She also has a 1 tonne crane on the aft deck for easy loading and carries 2 tenders (1x5.9m full biminied punt with a 2t payload capacity / 1x5.5m ali punt).
